Juniorkimbrough said:One last question and I'll be through.
What all is involved with hooking up a preamp and power amp together?
Not true. No amp runs at 2400 (or whatever) all the time. High wattage does not blow speakers up. You can run 1000 watts into a 100 watt cab - or vice versa. It's called head room. It allows you to have a reserve of power for transients, clarity, and over all tone, etc.funky_bass_guy said:These people running 200W+ which cabs do you run them into? Surely few cabs can handle even near half that!

Juniorkimbrough said:Thanks! For right now I just plan on running one Eden 410T 8ohm cab. I just need a bit more watts to open this baby up a bit.

If your planning on only your Eden cab for long term. Then the QSC RMX850 would be fine.
Juniorkimbrough said:One question I asked earlier that noone answered......
Will a Sansamp BDDI work as a pre amp?? or is the signal going to be strong enough?
I have the newer model with the "line/instrument" selector...
Thanks again for all the help!!
Juniorkimbrough said:Sorry bout that, didn't see that til just a second ago.
So it worked fine aside from the mid's issue?
Juniorkimbrough said:i'll probably give it a try since I already have one...
the dimensions on the RMX850 are..
19 in. (48.3 cm) rack mounting, 3.5 in. (8.9 cm) tall (2 rack spaces),
15.9 in. (40 cm) deep (rack mounting to rear support ears)
is there a certain rack case I should look for, or is this the pretty much standard size for some rack cases.
Just make sure the case is deep enough
