Hey! I have recently taken over a student who's fifteen years old and who plays really nicely in the orchestra. Just now she's playing beethvens third symphony and mozart's pianoconcerto in d-minor with the orchestra.
Now I wan't to nominate her for a scholarship but then I need to put her in front with a solopiece. She's mainly an orchestraplayer so she's not very experienced with the thumb position but I've introduced that to her this fall. Does anyone have any recomended solopieces that she can work on in order to get the scholarship?
I'm not an experienced classical player myself so I don't know that much about the standard repertoire.
Thanks,
Patrik
