Double Bass Good upright eletric basses?

I'm a beginner and I'm looking for a upright electric bass. I will use it mainly for practice but possibly for performing. I play both classical and jazz so I need a bass that works with a bow and with plucking. I have a decent bass amp that would work well with any bass. I need a upright electric bass that is easy to trasport and easy to use. I don't have an exact budget but under $700 would be nice. Any sugestions?:help:

^Bump^

I'm considering one, too. I'm thinking of going back to school, and they're not too keen on a bass guitar in the classical classes. I have to get an upright. I haven't researched it enough, but I think I can do a EUB instead of spending a load on an acoustic upright.

I've been playing electric bass guitar for 20+ years, and have loads of bad habits built up, but I don't want an easy "this EUB is an easy transfer from bass guitar" basses. That said, I'm not looking to spend over $800.

Thoughts?

Thanks!
