Mom looks up pressure cookers, Dad looks up backpacks, Son reads stories on Boston Marathon bombing. Men with guns show up to harrass family. Imagine what would have happened if the dad had been one of those annoying civil libertarians that wants a warrant before allowing anonymous thugs to rifle through his house? "Better call out the SWAT team boys, this one's read the Constitution and you know only domestic terrorists do that!" Absolutely disgusting. And frightening.

Moral of the story is: you have no privacy, ever. The NSA is tracking your location through your phone, knows who you email, who you call, who you text, what websites you read, what searches you do... Orwell couldn't have dreamed of this level of monitoring.

Nothing makes me feel safer than knowing that men with guns will raid my house if I accidentally google a combination of innocent items that they consider suspicious. Unless of course it's some illiterate high school drop out feeling me up for having the temerity to want to get on an airplane.

Right, but if some dope is next door looking for ways to kill a USA politician and sucking off your insecure home WiFi, they'll come beating your door down.

I don't care for all the spying going on after 9/11 either. However, if this family detonated a pressure cooker bomb in a backpack.... oh boy. I can imagine all the people here complaining about privacy violations wanting to know why the NSA, CIA, FBI and Homeland Security didn't catch it before it happened.
No harm, no foul.
If you are not breaking any laws, it all works out.

Gotcha. I understood you didn't mean me personally. Although my neighbor is a guitar player. I wonder if I should be concerned. :ninja: :D

I know. I thought so too. It was an amazingly sleazy way to lie without actually telling a lie. You have to read the entire story to find the little note at the bottom that still doesn't make it entirely clear that the photo has nothing to do with the events.
