Got married!

Because I feel like telling everyone, I got married on 5/13 to my girlfriend of four+ years. I'd been referring to her as my wife for a good year as we had it scheduled for 2010, but didn't have the money when Friday the 13th rolled around, so we had to wait for this year.

Now we've got four more days and we're getting an apartment together in Phoenix, so everything is happening quickly.

Anyways. Completely non-music/bass/Phalex related, but I wanted to share.

Yeah. Friday the 13th, in the rain, to a girl with a big black cat tattoo. We were going to have her walk down the isle under some ladders and everyone break mirrors, but lightning and the resulting cleanup persuaded us to skip those parts. We like pushing convention a bit. We had the florist spray paint her rose bouquet black.

We planned and worked on it for almost five months steady and it still seemed like everything was accomplished in the two days prior to the event. Good luck, and don't get caught with your pants down. We didn't have a rain-out location planned for the reception and found ourselves calling every guest individually to give them directions to my parents' house so we could be indoors and, you know, not die of pneumonia.

I'm not looking forward to Phoenix so much as why we are going.. I hate heat, Seattle or Portland would be great for me. But I'm headed to Invalid Link Removed and I hope that will make it worth it.

The original agreement was I could get married in jeans if they were brand new and ironed.. I had a pair for the event, until that morning and nobody could find them, so I had to go with something from the laundry basket. Apparently this was more acceptable than me going pants-less.
