About 3 years ago I did a session. I let my friend borrow my 76 Jazz... I didnt think about it for a while... and got it back this weekend...

Man did I miss this thing...

I still have the original metal pickup and bridge covers that I took off for me to play...

The Bartolini's and hip shop D tuner were installed before I got it...

I picked this up from Ed's Guitars in Miami 96-97 ish...

Cool bass I have a 76 myself ...

Since we are talking about getting back a bass we once owned but was absent for some time here is one I did'nt have for about ten years, this one however was a sale to a friend of mine, he toured with and played it for all that time and I never saw it.

Last week I went to see them play in town and asked about the bass ... yes he still had it. I proposed a trade for some gear I had he needed and, it's like dé·jà vu all over again.

She is back in the stable...

:smug: ... With its Burgundy Mist paint job this one has always been known as "Purple Haze"

Can I borrow it next? ;)

Still trying to coax a friend of mine to hold on to his 70s jazz 'till I come up with the funds (which won't happen for a long time).

Someone in Germany loathes you out of envy. :)

When I look at that blonde mid 70's Jazz with barts all I can here is Doug Wimbish and The Sugar Hill Gang grooves in my head. :bassist:;)

Very cool

Those are two awsome looking jazzes guys. I really love the inlays on the necks. Its to bad IMO that the first one has the Barts and detuner it takes away the original feel and look the barts for sure but its still cool.

What color is that second jazz..too cool!
