That is a very beautiful bass. Please consider storing it on its side, against the wall or back of the sofa rather than on that stand. Otherwise, I fear heartbreak.

I've used one of those stands for years and never had a problem with it. I would be more worried having my bass leaned in the corner.

Beautiful bass! Hope you get many, many years of playing out of it!

Can we hear it?

I don't have a means to record at the moment :hmm:

no. seriously. Is that a one piece back? and i don't suppose you have any 3/4 angle shots of the back right?

also which machine extension is that?

It is an "English" Extension (based on a fawcett is my understanding). It is called an "English extension" in the description papers.

I haven't been using the stand, I've actually been doing as you just said amazingly enough

Looks fantastic! Please tell us more about the bass. Congrats!

How deep are those ribs?

Well, to start, it is a slab-cut fir top, willow back and sides and a poplar neck. I will have to get back to you with the measurements although I think my bass has identical measurements to Invalid Link Removed one.
I have a paper describing all the woods, measurements etc, I just need to find it.
