Got my first bass and amp

Hello all, I just got my first bass. found a almost new looks like new not a scratch on it used Squire Classic Vibe 60's jazz on CL. Also found a used Peavey TNT 115 Scorpion that will need some work as it constanly hums think it needs new front end filter caps after the rectifier I have not taking it apart yet. So I am ready to get playing. thanks for input on post a few weeks back.

I have a MINX 110 that had a bad hum. The input jack had pulled lose from the circuit board on two of the four soldered contacts. It's a known design flaw which allows the plug to act as a lever if hit just right. I re-soldered the jack and all is fine. This was the last version of the MINX 110 with the "Red Face" which was Made In America in 2004. I'm not familiar with your style of TNT, but it might be worth checking out.
