It's home at last... I had this Zon Vinny custom built (as they all are) almost two year ago. Well, I switched to 5's and 6's since then so I thought "Hmmm, it's not getting played, so I'll sell it." - BIG mistake.

The other week watching the Bass Day '98 DVD, i really started to miss it. Luckily the guy I sold it to wasn't playing it either so he sold it back to me for what he paid (basically keeping it warm for me for a few months).

Well, it landed yesterday. I can't believe I sold this thing. It's extremely fun to play, and sounds killer for a wide range of styles (slap, tap, and finger-style work equally well). Needless to say, it's not leaving my possession EVER.

Welcome back Vinny.

Congratulations AJ.
I own that video too and Manring´s performance gives me serious GAS for a Vinny.

If you ever decide to sell it again, contact me.
Enjoy it.

Thanks man. I think I'd have to be nuts to sell it again. They're so reasonably priced ($1699 for base unit), it's tough not to take the plunge. You won't regret it.

A departure, not at all I played Steinbergers for years.I did not play it but I have played a Zon Vinny before and I personaly thought it was a very well built and sounding Bass.I have always been a fan of Zon Basses.

Actually, I should have added... from what you're doing and playing now. I like what I've heard so far of the C# theory. It's on my to-get list. I'm gonna see if an acquaintance of mine will play it over the local IMAX Theater's sound system (12,000 watts). It may be tough, as he'd be paranoid about blowing out the low end.

My apologies. I for one, don't enjoy it when others assume things about me, so I should never have done the same. I'll take you up on your offer. PM sent. Thanks!
