Gotoh or Badass Bridge possible on my bass?

Hey guys.

I have a Schecter Diamond J bass (Schecter's version of a Jazz Bass) and I was thinking of swapping out the stock bridge for either a Gotoh or a Badass. However, the bridge I have now has 4 screws in the corners of the bridge (in a square shape) instead of the 5 screw, straight line pattern of Fenders (which the Gotohs and Badasses have). Is it possible to even replace the bridge? Any input would be nice. Thanks

Yes. You will have to map out placement of the new bridge, mark be holes, drill and screw it down. Lots of info around on installing bridges.

I put a gotoh on my Jazz a while back, and while a fantastic bridge, it didn't seem to provide any difference or improvement over the stock one.

I avoided the BA as I have read that in come cases getting very low action was difficult, not to mention it is expensive.

My .02 of course.
