For usm po fokes, the Moses is a reputable company that has paid their licensing dues to Fender, and if blindfolded, you could not tell the difference from the others. HOW BIG IS YOUR WALLET?
does anyone have any qualms with graphite necks btw?

Come on, I could tell the difference between a Moses J and a Modulus J blindfolded, without feeling the headstocks, with one hand tied behind my back, and balancing on one foot 
The Modulus has a superior finish and a slightly different neck profile. I have three and just sold a fourth...I have NO qualms at all. Moses makes a nice neck that will give you the benefits of graphite without the crazy price as long as the threaded inserts are installed correctly.
I've played rock, jazz, ska, salsa, top-40 with Modulus basses. They sounded great in all genres.
pedulla-2007 has it right, get a Moses if money is an issue and a Modulus or Status if you want something a little nicer (i.e. finish, fret work wise)
I have a stingray with a moses neck & I don't understand all the bashing this brand gets. The finish and quality feel good and I have played modulus basses to compare both.
I think people who hate these necks just did a bad job installing them.(can a company with a fender licence be that bad ,I don't think so.)
I live in Quebec(ie very cold winters, hot summers just about any extreme climate:humidity outdoors, indoor heating wich makes indoors very dry.) and the moses neck can take it all.And my bass has played ,it is not a closet classic, gigs, teaching, walking in rain and winter storms you name it. (I would like to see you guys faces in the states going to a gig when it is -30C below and your bass has to ride in the trunk.)
It does take a certain time for the neck to get stable on the body(a couple of months)but when it does, you will almost never need to adjust it.(removing it is required to do so)
I say as long as it is well installed you won't have any problems with it.

moses graphite necks = great but the quality is hit or miss on them? or is that they need to be installed in a very precise manner?
and the other brands (status and modulus) are the bee's knees no matter what, basically?

so i think for if spending an extra $100 dollars
(Moses = $369 i think, Status $454)
i should just probably get the status and not have
to sweat over everything needing to be exactly

I say do what you want, but moses are not that hard to set up, probably the same as the 2 others. I don't believe it is hit or miss when buying because of the warranty, if it sucks , send it back, which I have not experienced.
I say status necks are probably great necks to, just different and more expensive since they come from the UK.
As for modulus, they are great replacement necks, but MAN ARE THEY EXPENSIVE!!!!!! way over priced IMO.........
buy a used modulus bass instead.

So - I have never owned a graphite neck - what "adjustments" are y'all talking about?

I don't believe the Moses necks come with the inserts installed. The important thing is that once installed, the face of the threaded inserts MUST be flush with the face of the neck. The one I had weren't and it caused a bad dead spot. Once I ground them down, it fixed the dead spot and all was good.
I'm not sure if Modulus/Status necks come with installed inserts since I bought both my Modulus necks used and I've never played a Status.
I've owned Status, Modulus, Moses, Glover and I've tried Vigier and Steinberger as well (couple of other graphite necks too, guitars mainly)
The best in finish (and tone IMHO and IME) are the Status ones. Modulus were a close second while Moses were a distant third

Actually zons are the very best but they dont sell replacement necks... I own status and modulus necks and have played moses.
In order... Zon, tie for status and modulus, moses in distant 3rd.
Moses used to have quality control issues that made them hit or miss. They also would not take necks back once the inserts were installed and that is usally what it took to find out you have a bad neck. They may have fixed this now but if you buy a moses I would ask about it first.

It is a simple money issue with me. Moses being the least expensive at around 400.00. If you want to spend at least 1000.00 for a Status from England, or any other, OPEN YOUR WALLET!! I bought a Moses p neck for direct replacement for a vintage jazz. It has threaded inserts to be installed, and the tuning key holes had to be sanded a bit because the inserts for the tuning key holes would not fit. Status symbol, (no pun intended) or workhorse. It is your call my bass brother!
