I have to put in a vote for Flea. I'm not sure on how many RHCP songs he uses a pick, but just listen to the song Parallel Universe...killer picking IMO and great interplay between himself and John Frusciante on guitar.

This guy has some serious pick playing chops. I saw them last year (again) and he was playing a Dean Eliminator type bass and I was blown away at how great his pick style playing awesomeness.

Yeah these were the exact two that popped into my head when I saw the thread title too! From what I've read, Randy Coven was the first Yngwie touring bassist that played fingerstyle, it suprised Yngwie in the auditions that someone could play those lines so fast without a pick.
