"Greatest" as in "favorite"; no edicts here, just opinions!
And only pre-1970. My thread, my parameters! ;) So, no... There will be no "Dark Side of the Moon" mentions. Ok???

I was a kid in the mid-late 60s. I got my first bass in 1967 when I was still 12. The band I was in (still play with the same guys) loved the psychedelic rock and played a lot of it along with rock and Motown. There was no youtube back then, of course. One of us would buy an album and then pass it around so each of us could learn the tunes. Our sets were a mix of genres. We might have a 15-minute rendition of Sunshine of Love or Tales of Brave Ulysses, followed by Hold On, I'm Comin', then I Wanna Hold Your Hand. It was a great time to be in a band. One of our favorites was Vanilla Fudge's You Keep Me Hanging On - psychedelic Motown!!



PS - I saw VF live just before COVID. Just as incredible as they always were.
