I’ve been after one for ages. I love the sound of a Bassballs on a P with flats. With the sensitivity low it sounds great, chewy and phaser-ish. Really pleased to add one to my collection!

I was surprised how big it is and how much it weighs. And the height! It makes my Mutron look positively svelte.

I gather they’re quite rare but interested to know if anyone else has one.

I had (years ago) what I guess is a later version of that - still Russian but black box. I was too young to appreciate it really.

The main thing here is: how cool does this thing look?!?! Literally built like a tank!

BassBalls is my all time favorite defect but my devotion is to the original issue or the NYC reissues. I'm happy you dig it. I have tried and owned several of both the Green Tank and Black & Blue SovTech versions that left me Verklempt in all the wrong ways. Unlike the Muff versions that have attained mythical and ridiculous cult status the BassBalls and Small Stones are for the most part overlooked or dismissed.

Thanks, I must admit I don’t hear much difference between my USA version and this one, though I haven’t set up a proper comparison yet - what differences could you hear?

It was mainly the feel and response over the sound - I have a mindmeld with that original circuit.
I will say that I do enjoy other variations like the Mooer Sweeper and Rocktron Heart Attack and Reaction Dynamic Filter.
