I have seen a Bassic12 in Dave Homer's shop, but have not heard it as it was not finished when I was down there. I will say that cab is all speaker and port! Chucko has one I believe and I might ask him what his impressions are.

My Bassic12 has the Faital 12 and a tweeter in it. I use it all the time at my blues band's rehearsals. It's a great match with a Carvin BX500 head. It doesn't go as deep as the 15/6/1, but it has a very "organic" sound to it, and it will handle a low B respectably. Don Barry built it out of Arauco ply; it weighs 27 lbs. with an aluminum grille.
And Chucko come to save the day. You guys are intense. CL400, nobody likes us when we have an opinion on here. Even when we are answering a specific question, people still get made at us.

If you want a grindy 12 have you considered the 3012HO? I had a 3015Ho in my previously owned Barefaced Compact (no tweeter or mid) and that driver really grinds the mids to my ears. I have not heard the Faital but if you want grindy perhaps the 3012HO would be a driver worth looking into.

Time for the long awaited (by me) comparison of the FEARLESS F110/F110S stack and the and F210. In the so-so pic below is the first production F110, first production F210, and first production F110S (sub), all built to perfection by Don Barry of Greenboy Audio - BarryAudioDesign Division.

The test bed included the pictured Rob Allen Solid 4 and my TecAmp Puma 500, Powersoft version.
Keeping EQ settings the same, the first impression on comparing the tone of the F110 stack versus the F210 was that, while extremely similar in tone (FEARLESS ... of course!), the F210 was noticeably smoother. A few EQ tweaks got them closer but not exact.
Time to experiment with the switch positions on the cabs and I find that the F210 had been in the attenuated roll-off position while the F110 was not - Doh! Ok, set both to same and try again .... ah, much closer.
More experiments result in achieving virtually identical tone by setting the F110 in the attenuated mid position while leaving the F210 in the non-attenuated position. When speaking to Dave G about the F110S he predicted that the F110/F110S would be slightly scooped compared to the F210 but could be EQ'd to sound the same. This seems right on and was a pretty impressive prediction considering that the F110S had not yet been built or completely designed at that time.
SUMMARY
Hats off and a major thank you to Dave Green, Don Barry, and the cadre of excellent builders for this fabulous array for bass cabs.

SUMMARY
- The F210 is a slightly smoother cab overall, absolutely perfect for DB and terrific for EB.
- The F110/F110S is a bit punchier, perhaps due to the higher overall elevation of the speakers and nearness to the ear, though I didn't elevate the F210 to compare. The stack is perfect for EB and can be EQ'd to be terrific for DB.
- Overall volume of the F210 and F110/F110S appeared to be the same, though I have not had a chance to do a volume blast-a-thon.
- I can be 100% content with either choice for all of my needs.

Julian was just making fun of me today on the phone because every time I get the chance to do a new greenboy design I get over excited..."This is the one!" "Best cab ever!" Except I actually mean it. I'm currently waffling between the F112/F115 vs 2x F115 as the ultimate stack of doom...they're both my favorite stack for (slightly) different reasons, but that being said, I really want an F210 for my local country/Americana gigs...why? SHUT UP, THAT'S WHY!!!

With F110 + F110S I could be playing into my 90s...
That was my goal. Actually, that is my second goal; making it to my 90's is my first goal.
There will be a FEARLESS 212 coming out soon, though details are still under wraps

Dont worry I make fun of Zoomie (John) too. Its all, "no man, I am gas free..." right up until something new comes out.
Not a fEARless no. There is a 1212/6 though in the fEARful line.
They are still working on it -- should be a nice cab (based on what they've done to this point).
