Greetings from Dhaka

Hi TB --

Lurking for a while, now -- decided it was time to say hi. I'm an American working for a development agency in Dhaka, Bangladesh. I've been a g****rist since high school (15+ years ago now), but it's only been in the last couple of years that I've decided to try to play the bass like a bassist.

I've played the aforeunmentioned six-stringed instrument in a number of different ensembles: bluegrass, blues, rock, even a jazz combo (even though "Moon River" ended up sound more like "Bad Moon River," or "My Baby Done Got Drowned in Moon River"). Right now I'm trying to put together a little power trio with an American guitarist and a Bangladeshi drummer. Cream + Hendrix + Bollywood = South Asian rock 'n' roll!

Anyway, thanks for having me. Glad to have found you.
