Greetings from Montana

Hi all,
I just wanted to say hello and thanks for letting me join. I'm just a part-time player - bar gigs, receptions, etc, my day job being a ranch hand (and a science fiction writer, but that's a whole 'nother story.) I've been playing bass for almost thirty years, but like a lot of you, I'm sure, I started on guitar and kind of fell into a gig as a bass player and stayed with it. Got burned out on bass a few years ago and played lead/rythm guitar with a couple outfits, but discovered I missed the thump and switched back to bass. Also switched from a P-bass style to an Ibanez Mikro and am slapping myself on the forehead why I didn't make that switch years ago! I know there advantages to long scales, but the SS is so much faster I can't see myself ever switching back.

Anyhow, thanks for letting me hang here!
