Greetings from Warwick Basses & Framus Guitars

I had a chance a couple years ago to buy a used medium scale Warwick... I was stupid enough not to get it! Still regret it.
Having said that, I own some 33inch fivers and a 32" sixer so I know this can be done with a very respectable lowB. I'd love to see Warwick releasing affordable medium scale 5 and 6 string basses!!!

Would it be possible to order a custom Warwick (other than the Jonas Hellborg signature bass) and have the signature Hellborg pickup/electronics placed in it?

Hello TapyTap! Yes, it certainly is possible to choose the Hellborg pickups and electronics as an option if you are placing a custom order. As we say at Warwick "If you can dream it, we can build it"!! Thanks!

Keep in mind, the Warwick Custom Shop can make you any model in any configuration / scale length. The initial request was about a Rockbass medium scale 5'er, or perhaps the possibility of a Pro Series model. Like I said...I will take all comments back to the team! Thanks again for the feedback!

Rockbass models are what I had in mind. If I had more money custom shop would be fine; I'm looking in the low to mid range.

Hey Warwick Official, welcome to TB. Just wanted to take a moment to say "hello" and request that Warwick to build an affordable medium scale 5'r. I was really disappointed this winter to learn that the 2012 32" Rockbass Corvette 5'r listed on your website was only a typo. No need for apologies, I just wanted to share that I think this would be a mutually beneficial endeavor as I would have the bass of my dreams and Warwick would be the first major manufacturer to address this segment of the market.

I believe there is interest in such a bass based on the relatively active Medium Scale Bass Club here at TB:

Along with the responses I received to my thread started this past winter regarding Warwick's new releases:

Finally, I'm confident that Warwick could build a successful medium scale 5'r based on their history of success with their custom shop builds. Unfortunately, not everyone has the means or interest in such expensive instruments, especially during these times.

Anyhow, thanks for your consideration and welcome to TB!

I posted this in the medium-scale club thread, too...but want to make sure we get everyone on the same page. Please read, and then head over the other thread to comment. Thanks!

Ok everyone - as promised, I took your feedback to the design team at Warwick...they've done quite a bit of testing, and feel confident we can offer an outstanding Rockbass 5 string in 32" medium scale and also 30" short scale!

Here's what I need from you all: Give me another round of feedback as to what YOU'D like to see. Which model(s) would you be most interested in having as a 32" 5'er. Corvette, Streamer, Fortress?...I will bring your next round of input to the design team, and hopefully we can move forward with production on something YOU'VE all requested!!

Be sure to post here...and spread the word to others who might be interested. I NEED to get some real data to bring back to the design team, so we can make this bass happen!

Thanks!

Hello AbB01

I'm not sure where you saw that on the website...I've checked the entire site and don't see what you're referring to. If you can give me a link I'd appreciate it! The Rockbass Corvette is available in 4 and 5 string versions.

However, the Pro Series Corvette IS available as a 6 string fretless, as seen here: Invalid Link Removed

Please let me know if you've got any questions or if I can assist you in any way. Thanks!

Dear AbB01, I've done some research and checked with our production manager. The Rockbass Corvette Active has indeed been added as a 6 string in the new lineup! The website is being updated as we speak, and should have all the information available soon. Options such as fretmarkers and fingerboard wood are not available as options on the Rockbass line. I've replied to your PM, please let me know if you've got any further questions. Thanks!
