Gretsch G6072 Questions

Hi,

I'm wondering if anybody knows the history of this model. Gretsch is another one of those companies that thrived in the 50's and 60's, then died and was resurrected. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gretsch

This model seems to have been made for awhile in the 60's then reissued later on. Does anybody know when? What years? Where they were manufactured?

I have a newis G6072. I can tell you it was made in Japan and is a wonderful instrument!!
