Grocery stores.

While not NY numbers Michigan is well up there in cases and deaths per capita among states. And Oakland county looks to be right in the middle of COVID central for your state.

I think the lady was right to be concerned. In your area I would want my fellow shoppers to be waring masks.

Stay safe.

I'm trying to do my part Old Rocker. Other than the grocery store I go to my moms, the local convenience store or the gas station and that's it. Most people wear masks but I see my fair share who don't. Again, if I have to do this for a while so be it.

Stay safe too!

Some people who wear masks aren't always the most conscientious. I saw one woman at the grocer's pawing through the pre-packaged cases of oranges. Others ignore the one-way aisle arrows. I've seen them riding bicycles on the sidewalk (which is illegal here).

And that's why we should have the mandatory mask orders. It's a combination of self-protection and preventing spread to others.

I am aware that some people are being careful, some have decided it's time to go out and play, and others are making a political statement, potentially with their own health.

At age 70 next month, I'm minimizing trips to the store or Home Depot, wearing a mask and nitrile gloves, and not planning to attend any large gatherings for the rest of the year.

The virus is out there and will be making its presence known again as soon as enough people disregard safety.
