Double Bass Grounding a mag pup?

I thought the Eurosonic are the same as the old Presto Nylonwound which have a steel core. They shoud work with a magnetic pickup, since the copper, brass and thin surface nickel/steel windings won't do much to a magnetic pickup. It is mostly the steel core that influences the magnetic field.

Yes, the Eurosonics are the the "Nylon Wraps" made by Presto and work well with magnetic pickups.

The Eurosonics are actively listed on the Gollihur website as working well with the Krivo pup, and yes Gollihur did get back to me, after I had made the previous post, the gentleman who manufactures the Krivo pups has helped me determine that the pup is faulty and he is swapping it out. Which is good because it sounds like thunder and I love the tone. Again uOpt I would really appreciate you pointing out specifically where I am confused, as I'm here to learn. I came in asking how to ground a mag pup while using poly coated strings, the answer is you can't and shouldn't have to given the pup's design, and the reason for the noise was a faulty product, about which the manufacturer is being extremely gracious.

Sounds like this is going to work out, and I hope it does. I just got a Krivo a few weeks ago, and I really like it so far. It's much quieter that I even expected.
