I get a lot of finger noise when sliding up and down the neck on my P bass. I tried the D'Addario halfrounds and thought they were fairly nice. Smooth and had plenty of grunt. I did not like that they are not articulate in the higher registers when I solo. I put on some Fodera compressed rounds and they sound great, but I am back to having the zipper noise on the string. Can anyone recommend a great string that will have the grunt and clarity of a round wound without all of the noise?
