GT-7 preamp options

If the preamp in this is the same as the one in my GT5, it's a POS. My suggestion to replace it would be an Aguilar OBP2 as it doesn't have the pots mounted to a circuit board. I also like the way they sound (based on my experience with the -1).

I build all my own electronics, so I'm going to change mine, but I'm not using a 5 much at the moment so it's low on my priority list.
