Guess the octaver

From the back left seat of a sydney bus at 8pm comes this question.

I just played an octaver and it sounded...interesting and now I need to know what of is. It was large like the size of an ehx bms and had a few nobs on it a fat octave down but most interestingly it had an analog level meter on it with those protection bars they use on the tube zipper you know?

The logo was also heaps retro like 50s dinerish.

Either way it was a decent octaver for the money and I'd like to read into it...plus it had son sort of distortion.

Any good? It kept cutting out on me in the store,

Most analogue octavers do that. If you play notes that are very low (A or lower especially) or let notes decay too long, or don't play single notes cleanly they have trouble tracking and just crap out.

I've never used the Ashdown octaver. I've used the sub-octave feature on their amp heads before but it was quite subtle.

Ahh fair enoughh, yeah kinda frustrating. Thanks though. What do you think of the mu-tron octave divider? Any experience?

Hey guys, you all seem to have alot of experience with bass so maybe you can help.

I've been fishing bass for atleast 2 years now but I'm having no luck and am just about to give up. But i reaaaaally love tasty bass, not just for its flavour but for it's majestic marine movement.

I'm using a Shimano "B Caster" specialised Bass reel on a top of the line Jarvis Walker Tension King rod, but i think the problem may be in the baiting rig.

I use a 3 pronged rainbow lure to fish for bass but I have a feeling it is the wrong approach, should i be using live bait? and what type of hook should i use?

Cheers

oh there it is.. now that I had to reply two times its not funny anymore.:eyebrow::p
