This past summer, I bought a Baby Bass copy made by a company called Guilin (bought it on this forum actually from RedMoses- yay!). It's from the 60's and was made in Puerto Rico. Has anyone else heard of this company? The bass has no serial number and looks homemade or like a prototype…not in a cheap way necessarily, but it just doesn't look mass-produced, you know? I'm really curious about its history and have been trying to find out more. I talked to a guy at David Gage and he said he's heard of the brand but didn't know much else…Google searches are turning up nothing.
Any ideas?
Anyway, I'm really digging it so far and feel I'm making some pretty good progress!
