I agree with the covid reasons. It has changed the whole dynamic, from production to how much product is in stock, and don't forget how many bored lockdowned people are ordering more gear for home delivery. I'm not surprised the stores don't have many customers and that the merch is still flying off the shelves and hangers.
I actually have the local used gear store calling me asking if I can bring them another load of used gear from my ridiculously massive collection of just about everything under the sun. They do a lot of online business and can't keep gear in stock. Good time to thin the herds.
