Guitarist found an old microphone, any use?

Guitarist's wife bought an old school microphone at a yard sale for 50 cents. It only has two wires running from it into what looks like a pigtail type connection. It looks like it could have been used in a TV studio Here's a pic:

Is there any practical application for this kind of mic? Any way to wire an XLR cable to it, or is it just a piece of history at this point?

Looks like a paging mic with a dynamic capsule. Hook it up and give it a shot, you'll never know until you try it.

Looks like the type of mic that gas station attendants use as well. I've noticed the mics @ Speedway are made by Shure.

I think you should mount it to your bass & wire it up for a cool Peter Frampton style talk-box effect..
