Double Bass Gut string I.D.

Hello friends,

Would anyone like to help me identify these old guts? Pretty sure I know what they are, but would appreciate a more seasoned set of eyes take a look

My first thought is the plain gut Golden Spiral set. On the set that I have, however, the yellow is darker, whereas yours almost match the color of the plain gut. Not sure if that is due to fading/age. The pattern looks the same!

Great info, thanks!
I was hoping they were golden spirals, I did not know there was a plain gut set (I was only aware of the nylon wrapped). Here they are after a few days of tlc.

Some more photos,
does anyone know if it’s possible to patch damage on a gut string? They’re in great shape except for one spot of severe damage on the g string, in between where the bridge and the tailpiece. Could I re tie the knot above the damage and trim the string or would that be unwise considering they’re a rare string?

Enjoy! I really like the plain G and D, perhaps more so than the Tynex wound. Unfortunately, the windings on my E and A are loose and rattle too much. But, like what was mentioned above, the separated section should be fine under tension, and since it's not under your hands, I doubt you'll notice it at all.
