Best part was when Thad started playing the song on just the controller and the guy in the restaurant goes "Oh I love this song".

I didn't think it was that funny. I play Guitar Hero and still...
The Herione Hero game didn't make any sense to me. Thought they could have done a lot better - along the lines of the World of Warcraft episode - that was epic hillarity.

I don't see why the Heroine game didn't make any sense. It made perfect sense. Not only are they relating this "Guitar Hero career" to a real guitarists pressures, but they are using the no pressure Heroine Hero game as a satire to real guitarists taking drugs to relieve their pressure.
The point of the game is to just keep chasing the dragon, which you will never catch.

The episode followed the stereotypical career of a rock musician:
Get into playing for fun > Get "discovered" > Get a big ego (fed by the record company) > Be "wowed" by the rockstar lifestyle of sex and drugs > Forget who your friends *really* are > Screw your friends in the name of success > Achieve success and the related pressures > Start taking heroin (and other drugs) to relieve the pressure > Fail at a major event > Remember why you started playing the first place (for fun) > Remember who your friends were > Make amends with the friends that you previously blew off > Go back to having fun
The beauty of the episode was that, after all this, it turned out that everything had been for nothing, as the only reward at the 1,000,000 point level was being called a nasty name.
Personally, I'd have laughed harder if the message at the end of the game had been something like, "You've reached a million points! You officially have no life and you *still* can't play guitar!"

I can't wait 'til my kids drag me into Game Stop. The clerk there keeps trying to get me to buy Guitar Hero. He knows I'm a musician, and he appears to believe that musicians should be just dying to play this game. I tried it in the store. It annoyed me.
So, next time he tries to push that stupid machine on me, I can say, "No, thanks. I'm not a fag."

OK So I managed to watch this episode yesterday from this very PC at work 
Problem is I am now bored out my mind on nightshift and was gonna show the guy I work with the Dog the Bounty Hunter episode. No dice, the video doesnt load! 
The Guitar Queer-O one still works fine but not a single other episode works.
Anybody shed some light on this for me?

I liked the part where they went to the party with all the celebrities, and the celebrities are all impressed with there guitar hero skils. That cracked me up.
Wow, that episode really hit home for me considering how much I play with people in my dorm. My room is basically the Guitar Hero headquarters, I'm easily the best player in my dorm.

I get a kick out of the knobs who think they are somehow better than other people because they play a real guitar instead of the "fake" guitar in GH. Those folks need to get off their high horse and let other people enjoy the game instead of bashing on them with things like "you can't play a real guitar though".

grrrr no! it's a piece of crap for failed drummers that want to get all the attention by playing rhythmically on a piece of crap to get the guitar lines to come out!
The guitar really is fake (not "fake"), you know. For the love of god, please tell me that's sarcasm. That's the point of the entire episode.
I like the segue into "I Wanna Be Sedated" after introducing Heroine Hero. Inspired.
