Hadrien Feraud: Mayones Jabba Fretless



I cannot imagine a more musical promotional video.

I agree Doc, absolutely superb. It's almost as if he's channeling Jaco from 1976. He isn't of course, he's doing his own thing, but seldom does one hear musical ideas so beautifully expressed, with every nuance, note and phrase so perfectly articulated. Jaco was a master at it, and so, evidently, is Hadrien.
 
Blocks on a fretless is a no for me.
Agree, for esthetics. Looks like the fingerboard is coated, though, so it shouldn't affect the sound or feel.

fwiw on Mayones's custom builder tool I can't find a way to get a fretless with anything other than an ebony fingerboard, lined or unlined but no blocks. So I'll assume that the particular combination of wood (purpleheart, I think) and blocks on this one has more to do with Feraud having the clout to request it.
