My favorite look was the flamed top cherry sunburst Hamer Classic. the LP double cutaway style. Lends itself to solid body or single F hole. I'm 45. I've been loving the semi holowbody look and feel. I don't really have a stron opinion about the neck. I'll let others argue about that. I know 12 strings sell so little that they arent a priority.. but go bolt on and it wouldnt be that hard to offer a 8 or 12 string version of the same bass as well.
