In the style of John Entwistle, I really enjoy that style of play with the punch and attack and treble (I'm slow at slap).

My question is sometimes I am have issues getting full sound out of it. Should I play at the neck or just at the pickup location, or maybe my attack angle is not obtuse enough?

Suggestions.
