I haven't wanted to bother him with asking, but I already bought a strap to match mine!
But hopefully his ominous Facebook post won't mess with deadlines.
I wanted to drive up to Dallas this weekend to play his basses but scheduling wouldn't allow it. I'll just have to get to TO asap...

Something like, "place your order today for your pre-lawsuit Hammersmith bass!"
To reply to questions in here...
1) The ominous post was more tongue in cheek than anything else. We got our first cease and desist letter a couple of days ago, but it won't inpact the K models in the least. People assumed we got a nasty letter from Ric but that's not what happened. Not at the lawsuit stage either.
2) Regarding the timelines, we have presold 45 of these now with another 3 coals in the fire. The build cue will be handled in the order they were placed, so people later in the cue are into June or July. Anyone new I'm saying August, just to be safe, though I'm hoping we work through things ahead of schedule once we start rolling. Don't forget we have other orders too, to the tune of 2 builds a week at this point from our regular models. I don't even want to think what would be going on if our website was up. For the time being, I actually like not having it up.
3) I've been out of town a lot and less active on TB in general and my inbox here tends to get backed up. Email is the best way to communicate anything order related.

I took delivery of a Hammersmith J4 bass a few weeks ago. Been so busy haven't been able to get to know it as well as I would like but I love the bass and my teacher from the Musicians's Institute and Mo the Luthier from here also gives them very high marks. I sold my Moollon which was twice the price and bought one of the Hammersmith's. The attention to detail and quality is great and better than the more expensive Moollon. Here you can see my red J4 right before shipping.
