Child-proof your guns by securely storing them in an enclosed safe of some sort, but also gun-proof your children.

Keep that safety lock crap off my firearms.

But keep giving me the free cable lock with the pistols... they work great to secure the band trailer to the hitch.

Diggler is right about .22 being cheap and fun. A friend of mine just picked up a Walther P....226 I think? Great little shooter. If you're looking a little more long term, then 9mm is the next best thing as far as price goes. I'm a big Glock and Springfield XD fan and would recommend either.

Also, I have to think there's some criminal deterrent effect to using a bright yellow "MOSSBERG" cable lock on our trailer. Any criminal thinking about cutting the lock knows that there's an unlocked shotgun near the owner of the trailer.

Yeah! Cool gun. He picked his up used and it came with a rail mounted laser - totally fun.
