P. Aaron said:'Drinkin' Pabst here. No blackouts in quite a while...not even close.

Actually for me the whole Pabst thing started over some confusion at a gig a while back. I mistakenly read the date for a Labatt's $1.99 promo while at a gig. So I ordered one. "That'll be $3.50" "WHAT?!!!" I said.
After that beer, I went to the bar and asked: "What's the cheapest beer you have...in a bottle?" Pabst Blue Ribbon the cute barmaid said. "How much?" the cheapskate asked. Cute barmaid: "$2.00". Cheapskate: "Gimme one...please".
nonsqtr said:I don't get hangovers anymore. Seriously. It's very strange. The worst thing I can do, is to consume high fructose corn syrup with alcohol, 'cause that gives me a massive headache, and it lasts an entire day. But drinking alone, doesn't hang me over anymore. Hasn't, in about ten years or so. Ever since I stopped drinking.
No, but seriously, has anyone had an experience like this? Maybe it's because I used to drink so much, that my metabolism changed or something. I'm entirely sure, that if I started drinking again, the alcohol would be very much like an "opiate" for me. Can't sh*t, can't f*ck, that kind of thing. Obviously you can tell I'm not just talking about one beer. Which is why I try to avoid alcohol these days.
But, once in a while I still have a beer, maybe at a gig or something, and it has a very strange effect on me. It's nowhere near what it used to be, like making me bubbly and sociable or anything like that. It kinda makes me "nod out", almost like heroin. Has anyone had an experience like this?
