Well, I just turned the big 40. Couple more years, I'll officially be farting dust...lol
Got a really nice gift from my beautiful wife and kids. I was floored when I opened a real nice Ibanez acoustic/electric bass guitar. Will upload a few pictures. My son picked it out. I really never mentioned that I would ever want an acoustic bass, but finding it nice to just be able to sit in front of the tv and not have to be "plugged" in. While still being able to hear what I am playing.
The wife grabbed up the kids on Sunday and said they were headed to her mothers. Not so. They went to GC and bought me this bass. They are too good to me.
Only bad thing? On Monday, I bought myself a Gibson SG Standard Bass. The real deal with trapezoid inlays, inlay on headstock, and (IMO) nicer gloss finish. But, will save that story for when it arrives in the mail hopefully early next week.
Just thought I'd show off my newest toy and to say I have the greatest wife and kids the good Lord could bless me with.
