Hard case solutions for Mesa Subway amps?

We did look into this, but everybody has their own idea what kind of case they want. The carry bag is an item of convenience that works for many players, but I have mentioned before that for amps being toured, better protection is highly recommended.

For some players using WD's and TT's, the choice is a rack, for others it's a heavy duty carry bag, for others it's a hard shell case and for some it's a custom built solution. It depends on what else you may want or need to carry, if travel involves fly dates, and who will ultimately be handling the gear.

This was my solution to a case for my WD800. I’ve had it more than a couple of years ago. There’s a power strip in the top of the rack now. I was surprised that there’s no front or back cover for the rack, but there’s a nice nylon cover for the rack that has done a nice job of protecting it (with very careful handling by me, of course….:)). Oddly enough, the rack and the cover are made by Aguilar.

FWIW, for my applications, a hard case or rack ears for the d800+ is more important for me than the wd-800. /shrug.

Then the carry bag isn’t a solution for your needs and you are welcome to explore any number of hard cases on the market. Look at the photo market, the instrumentation market, the industrial market for a wide variety of different hard case styles, some with additional storage, some watertight, some sized to fit under airline seats, etc.

We don’t have rack ears for the D-350/800/800+ because they have very low demand, most players prefer the smaller size compared with rack mount. I offered a “build up your own” rack adapter, a few built them up but interest was very low.

For the WD and TT, there was more interest in rack ears as the basic package is 2U friendly.
