Hard time finding any info on this bass.

Hey all, I’m going to check out a bass from FB marketplace tonight. I’m having a hard time finding any info on it online. Hoping someone can help me with any information about it. Seller is asking $175.

Just an FYI for the future.
These are on par with SX basses.
The price shown above is what these usually cost brand new.
A definite step above a Glarry.
Used price shouldn’t be the same as new price.

If this is a first bass I'd say no way, too many potential issues and the price is too high. If you're looking for something as a mod project offer $100 if you like it and if they say no walk away.

Appreciate the advice. I’m not much of a bassist, more of a drummer and guitarist. I was just looking for a decent lower level working bass to record ideas and doodle around on. I’ve decided to check out an Ibanez soundgear with EMGs and hard case. The case alone makes it a better deal. It’s also sold by a local thrift shop I’ve done business with before. As opposed to a random guy on Facebook.

I just couldn’t find any info on the ZZG,ZZC? and was curious if I found something maybe kinda unique at a decent price point. I do like the way it looks and was willing to see how it felt. But, the Price seemed a bit steep and the Seller is firm. so I wanted to ask some people in the know and found this forum. thanks to the advice here I’ve decided to not waist either of our time and move forward toward the Ibanez.

Good choice. The Ibanez is way less of a gamble and is a well known brand with a great reputation. Enjoy your new bass!

Those look like the same substandard type tuning keys that are in my cheap little Harmony bass. They would vibrate out of tune by the end of a song. I can’t understand the language in the video, but by the motion he made when describing the tuners, I’m guessing his experience is the same.

If the bass was ridiculously cheap, and I wanted a project or something to noodle with around the house, then sure. But I could find something better in the $175 range. It’s been a few years, but even the local music store had brand new Dean 4 strings for less than that.

Sounds like the OP made a good decision.

Just got home and tested the Ibanez SDGR sr300. Definitely made the correct choice getting this over whatever it that ZZG Bass was lol.
Ended up negotiating for $140 and the seller had set it up and put new strings on it before listing. So, that also saves me at least $1000 on new strings…. I joke…just a lil lol.
All in all though, it feels and sounds great. The knob closest to the bridge is a little gritty feeling when turning it, around the noon spot. And it has a dented tuning cap, but doesn’t seem to effect much at the moment. Thank you all for your advice and info, y’all rock.

I have an SR300. Are you sure those aren't notched pots? Mine are (Mine is a 2017 model year).

raises some questions. It would be a project/refurb if the neck and body were decent.
Glaring issues. Personally not at all fond of the combination colours of body and PG, etc etc etc.

You want to play bass.
This particular one would be waste of time and money HOBBY
