Harke B60 vs. Yorkville 50B ?

I saw a CL ad for the Hartke at CAD150 and am also considering the Yorkville.

Which one is best? Just preference? Which would retain value for reselling better?

Alternatively, I also see a Fender for CAD150 but it's only 25 watts! What's with the fewer wattage at the same price as a 60W? Brand??

I prefer the Yorkville for an inexpensive amp in that size. That model is made in Canada. The quality is very high for the price too.

I think Fender gets away with their high prices because of their name.

I've never cared much for any Hartke products. They're not bad, just don't sound quite good enough for my preference. I don't think they're particularly well made but they're not complete garbage either.

But which Peavey combo?

I got the Yorkville to replace a Peavey Minx which I still have and is still working. The two sound very similar. The Minx also has a 10" speaker, is about the same size and weight and has quite similar eq.

I don't find either scooped although if you want that it can easily be dialed in.

It was one of those small ones with a 12inch speaker..can't remember the model.
One mans' poison, etc.
I now have a little Yamaha 12 combo I use for bedroom practice....sounds wicked.
if the Yorkville floats your boat, that's cool.
I prefer more mids in my tone
