Double Bass Harley Benton DB02-BK replacement Body Brace

I've been playing fretless bass for a while now and I recently took my first steps into playing upright bass and purchased a Harley Benton DB02-BK EUB. Definitely should've done more research but a friend was selling it for £200 so I felt I couldn't pass up the offer.
Unfortunately said friend has misplaced the body brace and I have been searching and searching online to find a replacement with no results.
Was just wondering if anyone here had any recommendations on what I should do to get a replacement or could give me any instructions on how to construct a better brace myself!

I found this solution than works very fine for the DB02-BK. I attached to the EUB a [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] my wife used to use for her ceramic work. It's comfortable and way more stable than the device that comes with the instrument. I am quite happy with the DB02-BK and I think it's terrific for its price range.

Hey i was wondering how you attached this? Was it on the strap button on the back of the neck?

I would angle it a bit backward to simulate the rib height.
You may also want to find a better solution for the mounting when transported often because the wood screw is not really made for being unscrewed and tightened very often.

Otherwise a nice idea.

Personally I will keep my rebent original wire body support. Does not make contact at the same position as an real upright (a bit lower due to the lower mounting), but I got used to it.

I wonder if getting a regular double bass bag might help? Although its probably gonna shake around a bit so maybe not the best idea.
