After checking a few things out on another short scale bass I went back to check out the Harley Benton PB-Shorty. It has everything the others have and for a low end instrument with some quality I am considering buying one especially since they come with a real 3yr warranty which I like after hearing from a U.S. company today that they may say you get a 2yr warranty that depends on whether they can fix the issue. I told them I thought that was false advertising. The salesman says that is why we sell our Gold Insurance Policy. More money out of the pocket for sure. I can tell you for one thing if Harley Benton says they have a 3yr policy you can believe them. They do not have anything in small print for sure. I just used it on a EQ failure on one of their ukulele basses that I have had for 2.5yrs and after showing them it did not work I received a new one in three days. Amazing customer service!
My question is do many members have the Harley Benton PB-Shorty and if so how would you rate it? What can you tell me about the neck playability and has anyone put flat wound stings on one of these? Thanks for any info. https://www.thomannmusic.com/harley_benton_hbp90bk_shortscale_ebass.htm
