Does anyone have a an EQ setup for this that really gives a nice warm tone without losing the top end when played Live. I have experimented with numerous EQ setups and still not really found the one that I am happy with. I am using a Fender Jazz through the amp and would like to get a sound similar to Stuart Zender on the first Jamiroquai albums...

Hartke 3500 EQ setup

depends on your playing situation, but worked for me and my old 3500 was having the tube pre a couple notches more than the ss pre (maybe the tube on 4 and the ss on 2). and then having the graphic eq on a slight smiley face, boosting the lowest and highest sliders just a bit and gradually cutting out the mids. remember to always try cutting freq's out before boosting others.
of course, i was playing in a rock trio where the guitarist had a very treble-y, twangy sound so there was not much competition in the mids and lo-mids. that allowed me to take some of those out without being drowned out. your situation might be different.

That'll depend a lot on your speaker cab... I have the hartke 7000, which is just 2x 3500's. never had trouble getting just about any tone with a 4x10 (and occasionally a 2x8 for highs).

The 3500 is a fairly versatile head that I've been using for several years now. Good suggestions about boosting the tube pre a bit over the SS pre and about cutting freq. first rather than adding right away. For me, I have to drop out some of the low end and kind of edge up the mids a touch for my set up (7 string w/flats going into an Eden 210).

Yeah +1 to the boost the tube. I also found you can get that tube channel to warm things up a bit, but the SS channel is much louder.
As for eq, with the right cabinets (IE: non hartke) you should never need to use it. With my hartke 15 + 410 setup i set the highest and lowest eq sliders full on and used the rest to scuplt the room sound, unless i was playing in an all concrete room from the corner, which that meant not using the low boost as it would be too much.
