Hartke amps

Vincepenalty, I play a Hartke HA 3500 and use Hartke cabs (210XL & 410xl) I play a Fender Jazz MIM Blacktop and the sound it reproduces in nothing short of incredible. I am defined within the mix very well. The Hartke IMO is very road worthy. I have been using them for years and years and am well pleased. For the money you cant beat them. Do your homework, listen and play thru different Bass equipment, then buy Hartke and dont look back. There will be no need too

I have a Hartke 210XL as part of my rig.

Seems a well made box. Lacks a little in the bottom end to my ear, but I've tried a lot of 210 boxes and never found one full enough for my taste. I like the presence it has, particularly for fretless.

At the moment I pair it with an EV 1x15" TL606 and like the sound. Researching an upgrade, partly because mismatched boxes lead to phase cancellations, but who knows, I may end up staying with the Hartke.

I bought a 210 xl cab and love the sound.....until I played through a 410xl. The difference in sound is at least triple good better. I have paired the 210xl with a 115 ampeg and the two together didn't sound as good as the 410 by itself. I also played two 410 xl hartke cabs together and it blew me away to the point that I couldn't wipe the smile off my face for at least 3 hours. In my mind it seemed like the 15 would give me the sound I was looking for, which is a deep full smooth sound. The 410's just seem to have more depth and clarity than the 15's to me.

Id suggest playing through it first. I have a Hartke HA2500 and a 210XL cab, I played a HA3500 and 4.5 cab(not sure what it was exactly) for over a month. I personaly like the sound from a Peavey Headliner 210 better than the Hartke cabs. Im also not happy with the heads either. They are good, just dont give me that tone I want. Tone wise I much preffered my old GK Brat pak but it just was cutting through with 2 guitars and drums. My Hartke stuff will be headed to the consignment shop soon.

@ J_funk_77-The benefit of playing the Ha 5000 or HA7000 is that they have two more tone control knobs on the right of the amp in the form of a parametric eq. I can understand your frustration. Without those two I wouldn't be able to dial my tone in just right either.

That been nice to have known, but I just cant stand what I got and just put a order in for a GK 700 RB-II

In 1991, I purchased a Hartke 410 Bass Module and a GK 800 RB. I added a Hartke 410 Transporter a couple of years later and this made a great bass rig. My bass rack and the Transporter were stolen about four years ago, but I still have the Hartke 410 Bass Module. I've been playing through a small Ampeg combo since and am now ready to set myself up with another larger rig. I'm sure I'll return to the GK 800 RB and continue using the Hartke 410 Bass Module. I'm torn between adding another Hartke 410 cab or a 210 cab. Any thoughts or opinions out there. By the way, if you haven't guessed, I'm sold on the Hartke cabs.
