Hartke Cab

When you use two 8 ohm cabinets, the resistance the amp sees is 4 ohms IF the cabinets are in series, i.e. the hook up is amp to speaker cab 1 to speaker cab 2.

If you amp has two outputs and you hook up a speaker cab to each output for a parallel configuration, the amp will see 8 ohm resistance.

Wrong. Doesn't matter if you use both outputs or "daisy chain" the two cabs together. You're still gonna end up with a 4 ohm system. The two speaker outs on the back of your amp are parallel, the "thru" outs (daisy chain) on the speakers are also parallel.

can't beat the quality for the price! where else can you get a thousand watt cab for $410.00 bucks? Not to mention you can get it in either 4 or 8 ohm configurations!

IMHO if your going to compete with 150 watts of guitar then you need a minimum of 450 watts. The head i suggested is 500 watts, that will give you plenty of head room in the cab and since the head is only 500 watts thats all you will be pushing. IMHO it is better to be overpowered than under.....

why spend $400.00 on a 400 watt cab when you can get a better 1000 watt cab for the same money?

still that combo is killer especially at less than $900.00 you could do worse for the same money...

True, the only reason I didn't really stick with the idea of the Avatar is I don't like shipping things, I have bad luck with that stuff.
Like, whenever I get something from Ebay or whatever, something is always wrong, and even though I would be getting it new, knowing my luck there might be something wrong.

And by the way, those cabs are $650 now, about $700 after shipping. But I will look back into them

Avatar has great customer service....if after it ships it arrives in less than pristine condition trust me they will make it right! The price has not gone up as of yet they are still $409.00 plus 42.00 in shipping charges

but whatever floats your boat not going to twist your arm...lol
