Hartke Club?

I would like a number please. Also was the VX3500 only made one or so years with the gold accent? I cant find another anywhere, even a picture for that matter.

Never seen one like that with the gold stripes either. Did you buy it new like that? Can't tell from the picture but are those stripes under the grille cloth? If so it probably came like that new. It almost looks like the frame for the grille cloth was painted gold. Maybe somebody went to the trouble to remove the grille cloth and paint the frame. Seems like a lot of work just to add some Peavey style stripes on there, but I've seen stranger stuff than that before.

<<<< edit >>>> after looking at the picture of the VX3500 on Hartke's site, it sure looks like somebody painted the stock black side stripes that wrap around the edge of the steel grille on your amp gold.

Those VX3500's sound good. I played through one once at an open jam and was impressed at how much sound came out of it.

Larry Hartke is here on TB, maybe he could provide you with an answer on the stripes.

Those are not stripes, that's the non perforated area on the grill. The whole grill is gold along with all 8 of the corner caps as well. Sorry that's a bad cellphone picture. I bought it used. The dude said he bought it about 1-1/2 yrs ago and it came like that. It doesn't look like a home paint job. I do like it just wanted to know if its original.

Meltman

If the corners were painted they would show scuffs for sure where the original color was. Since all the grille and corners are gold it probably came that way. Still might be cool to contact Larry Hartke just to know. Maybe it's a special model.

I couldn't take the gold anymore (see the VX3500 picture 4 posts back). So I am an engineer in a precision sheet metal shop and brought all the gold pieces there. First had them bead blast all the gold off the plastic end caps and other plastic pieces. Then cut a new piece of aircraft grade aluminum perforated sheet for a new front grill. Painted and sealed it flat black. Lastly I called Hartke and they sent me f.o.c. all new screws for all. Had them sent right to my job. They are only like 15 minutes away from my job so I had them next day. So does anyone give out numbers now in the Hartke club? Its been 3 weeks since I originally posted the VX3500 pic. Just wondering....

Ok thought I would post a few pics of the amp now finished. I think it looks ten times better than with the gold. When I spoke to Hartke customer service they assured me that the VX3500 never came with a gold package. Let me tell you it took all of two days to really not like it the way it was.

I'm so sorry for my neglecting behavior but I've been very busy at work and out of the city this weekend. But I'm back and guess what...?

Congratulations!!! You're member #262

Welcome to the Hartke Club.

And yes... I think it looks a lot better with the original black grill than with the gold one. Now I think you shold ask Hartke if they have the Hartke Logo so your combo is complete. Just my opinion. :bassist:

Sorry for the long waiting.

I was really just wondering because some clubs dont use the numbers, you just write it your sig.

I never even thought to ask if they have the Hartke logo for the grill. Very good idea my friend, very good indeed. Here I thought I was done for a while.......

Edit: I guess it is a combo amp but I really dont think of it that way. I can tell you this I would def rip the head out of the cabinet and use it by itself if it came to that. One question to all, If you buy the HA3500 head by itself on the back there are 350 watt 4ohm and 240 watt 8ohm min outputs but mine only has the 350 watt 4ohm output. Was this purely an oversight because of the 410 4ohm cabinet that it is paired with as the combo. Kinda limits you to 4 ohm cabinets forever even used stand alone.

Hey guys! I need you opinion. I'm looking at upgrading my rig and I found this: Invalid Link Removed

The guy says it's in excellent condition, includes amp and cabinet. The price in USD (considering the latest devaluation of the mexican peso vs. the US dollar) is about $860 - $900 USD. What do you think? Good price? What's you experience with the HA 5500?

BUMP!
I really need your opinions, guys.

Thanks.

Haven't played through one for quite some time but I remember liking the tone from the 5500. I actually like the features better on it than the new LH series. Hartke has been making those for a long time and the 5500 has a reputation for being a solid amp.

Have you priced one new online? I've seen them for around 650 USD with free shipping worldwide. Of course if you have to pay import duty on it then the price might not be so good.
