Hartke HA2500 Need opinions

I am thinking about buying my first bass rig. I was going with the Hartke 210xl cab and the Hartke HA2500 head.I was thinking i could add another 210xl cab later for bigger gigs(when i get the money). My question is would the Hartke HA2500 be able to handle two of those or do i need a more powerful amp?

Also i would get a 410 cab if you are looking at the VX series.

The 210 sounds good but it will run out of steam of you try and do anything other than use it in your bedroom.

I used to own the 3500 and the VX 410 and it was an awesome affordable rig - I gigged the hell out of it for 5 years & never had an issue....

Also if you decide to get 410, try 4.5xl. It is loud and cuts through mix well if you want. Also you can get used one for 200$ or maybe less

This. I ran an HA2500 into a VX410 for about two years, pretty great rig, especially sense it was under $500 new. If you can though, go for the HA3500. The extra headroom will be very nice in the near future. If the HA2500 is all you can find or afford, go for it. I am still using mine in my current setup, to push the bands monitors. It has plenty of kick for such a little amp.

^ Agreed, my 2500 has worked amazing but there was a few times I needed more power.

Mine is used a damn old and works very well other than a dirty connection internaly I have to clean, its a workhorse!

I too just bought the HA2500 as part of my first bass rig. I play it thru the hartke vx410. As an intermediate bass player ill say that it is more than enough at this part of my career. A perfect beginning setup

Here's the rig I traded in on my Mesa/Boogie Walkabout Scout a few years ago. Fairly easy to move around, and it made enough noise for outdoor gigs. Two 8 ohm cabinets give twice (or so) the power of one, so two speaker boxes is the way to go.
