Hartke HyDrive 4x10 stock issues? Is it going away?

Hi everyone, I've recently purchased a Terror Bass from another TB'r and I've been looking for a Hartke Hydrive 4x10 as I have a 112c already and like the tone it gives.

But I can't find one in local stock and I only see them on those shady music websites. I'm not sure if they are going away or just hard pressed for stock. I found that my local GC has an Ampeg 410hlf on sale for $669 but they only have the floor model left and that's been sitting there for a year already and they won't give any further discount. (that will be the day when I buy floor model at full price)

Anyways, does anyone know what the deal is? are the coming out with new ones or is stock just hard to find right now?

(also if you have any alternatives in the 500-750$ price range that are similar, size is important for me)

Actually, GC/MF went public again and have started carrying Hartke again instead of Bain Capitol's previous "no buying bullets from the enemy" nonsense. Haven't seen Hartke in any GC stores yet, but they're on the MF site for sure.

But the Hydrive 410 is a very popular cab, and it stands to reason that they might have occasional periods where they're sold out.

I've been in three Sam Ash stores in the last two weeks (two in IL and one in OH) and they have all had them in stock.

On a whim, I stopped by my local Sam Ash store on Tuesday only to find out that they hosted a clinic with Victor Wooten three hours earlier. I went to the Pro Audio room and Vic was still there, finishing up signing autographs. He's still using the HyDrive 410 (as well as a HyDrive 115 and an LH1000 head).

Bah, I wish I had a Sam Ash store in my area lol I mean I live in Billy Sheehan's old stomping grounds and all the local shops in my area only cover guitars with very limited bass selection. Hate to admit it but GC has the best Bass selection in my area and I only really go there because I have friends that work there.

I might look into that used one, I didn't see it on there before so it must be new to the used selections.

Also, for the record, Billy is an amazingly nice guy but I know his nephew and that kid is a +^%{x.

They are super popular cabs, I remember when I got mine they were back ordered, but I lucked out and found a local shop that had one.

I'm thinking about getting another, they sound great cranked up and wow, a 65 pound cab is SO much friendlier after a gig than a 100 pound cab.

I'd recommend that if you're really interested that you move quickly as they don't seem to say around very long. Especially now during summer gig season.

I met Billy at a Bx3 show in Chicago, he was very friendly. Thinking about it, I've met a handful of top-name bassists over the years and they've all been nice.
