Hartke LH500

I run my 500 as follows
Bass mid & treble all at 3pm, bright on, limiter on, volume maxed......I then run my bass into a pedal tuner then compression pedal using the compression volume as my master. I run the amp into an avatar bass 412. Warm, punchy, clear & loud as hell. This is my knock-off P-bass setting. I've yet to run my gibby tbird thru it but I imagine when I do I'll have to cut some bass eq a bit.

I use a 500 with a GK Neo 212. I have the limiter on and the bright off. I change the bass, mid, and treble almost constantly to get different tones. I'm starting to think I may need to switch to an active bass because the 500 is spoiling me with quick dialing tones. :)

Hey guys,

I'm strongly interested in trading in my Fender Rumble 350 2x10 combo for an LH500 and a comparable cabinet. But budget is an issue.
Now, of course, the LH500 pumps out 500w at 4 ohms. I understand that the Fender Rumble 4x10 cab is wired at 4 ohms with 1000w peak and 500w continuous. Does this sound like they would work well together?

That should work fine. I used my amp last weekend with a Hartke 4X10 XL cab. I was pushing 350 Watts into 8Ω. The cab is rated 400 Watts @ 8Ω. I was set at about 6 on the amp's volume. At one point I dialed a little low end back (I was on 7) because the speakers sounding a little floppy on my low B, every now and then, but not all the time.

So I was right on the border of that cab's rated wattage, which is fine. If I put the LH1000 bridged into that cab (750Watts), I would have fried it.

You can only put out 500 watts continuous, and the drivers handle the peaks just fine.

Yes, Sam Ash is where you want to go. Sam Ash = Samson = Hartke.

It's an air filter. The fan is in the back and it draws air through the filter. In the owners manual they tell you how to clean it.

Should keep the inside of the amp nice and clean.

I haven't tried out the DI yet, but will this weekend.

The owners manual says it's pre EQ and pre volume control.

Don't forget that the volume control is the master volume. The input gain is not adjustable.
