Love the Faces ( and to lesser degree the Small Faces)
Was the blue check used on the brief case?
Still kick myself for not buying the brief case as well as not having any money as a kid when I saw a RED SVT stack at Chuck Levin's Washington Music back in the day

That looks great Funkintheteunk! Did you buy it new in the mid 90's, or did you purchase it used later on? I'd be curious to know how many white heads and cabs they produced back when they did this.

Got it in a trade years ago...it's still clean and white because it was too damn heavy to lug around. ;)

This thing can move some serious air...but I always been a SS bass amp guy.

Hate to resurrect an old thread but I definitely have a L&M anniversary 810e with the diamond tolex dated at April 2006. I'm hoping I just missed the 'Dark Era' 810s. It sounds great to me with my '72 Blueline SVT head but it's the only 810e I've ever used so no comparisons. I just wish I bought the matching SVT-CL as a backup!
It's very possible you missed the cutoff for the dark sounding cabs. Closest I can tell is that sometime in 2006, the speakers improved. I just can't pinpoint it to a timeframe.

OTOH, it sounds great to you? No problem!
