Has anyone played through a Bose L1?

My 2 cents: I saw Tony Levin play with an L1 system a few years ago. Two of the upright speakers and 2 subs. Plus they used small amps for the guitar and bass. It did a very creditable job in a small room.

My experience though has been different. I play in a bluegrass band and up til last weekend we had a Bose L1 with one sub. You're supposed to be able to put the speaker behind you so you don't need monitors, but we still had feedback problems. Plus I hated having to get down on my knees to adjust levels. We sold it and went with a Fishman SA220. No sub, but it works great for guitar and mics.
